The Lost Ring

We sifted through everything on any surface that may have been a ring "safe spot." He took apart the sink P-trap, it broke.  I prayed.  We went to bed, I prayed some more. We looked again at every surface we could think of, we prayed, over 24 hours left Kj found it!!!  Yeah!

Yeah!  We found the ring!!

You know what good came out of it?

~  Kevin learned that God even cares about "insignificant" things like wedding rings.  Last year, the kids and I studied the names of God.  From that we learned that God is a God who sees.  He sees even what we don't want to bother Him with, but He doesn't mind if we "bother Him" with it!

~  Our P-trap was rotting.  Kevin went out tonight with L to buy a new one.  They brought it back and was trying to connect it with the "downspout" (not sure what that is called), and found that that was also rotting.  He headed out again on his own (bedtime) and bought another piece.  Had to figure out how to disconnect the rotting, stuck "downspout" (heat).  Realized that the piece he bought was wrong (didn't have an increased area to overlap the upper pipe connection).  Headed out a 3rd time to a different store (other store closed for the night).  Now, he'll come home and it will fit just right and nothing else will go wrong, right!?

Here is a quote I found on Pinterest, while helping him research disconnecting of stuck pipe:

"More than any other type of home improvement job, plumbing can drive a DIYer crazy. Problems arise, projects grow, frustrations multiply. Even pros are not immune. But one way to manage the frustrations and achieve a successful plumbing project is to allow plenty of time—at least twice as much time..."  ~The Family Handyman

~  I am again, ever so thankful for a family handyman!!

~  We are thankful for no water pipe breakage at an unknown time that would cause us to have to replace our old cabinets and carpeted kitchen floor.  ;)  A little sarcasm there, but we know that did happen to someone from our church.  Only they also had to do bit of a basement remodel in the process for all the water spilt.  :(
